WALKING
Our Wellbeing Walks make getting active easier, for everyone. Because you’ll be walking with others, you’ll feel safe, be supported, and have fun along the way.
Volunteer with us
Without the 25,000 volunteers who give their time to the Ramblers we just wouldn’t exist. Find out how you can get involved as a volunteer.
Volunteering with us is a great way to give something back to walking and offers the opportunity to meet new, like-minded people, learn new skills and further your walking knowledge.
Love getting outdoors?
You could
…become a walk leader
Our local walking groups lead hundreds of group walks for Ramblers members every week and contribute to our national walking festival programmes. It’s thanks to our walk leaders that we can offer over 38,000 walks across Britain every year.
We coordinate health walks schemes in Hartlepool and rely on a network of volunteers to provide health walks in the local community as part of our walking for health programme.

Getting active with Ramblers Wellbeing Walks
It’s almost impossible not to feel good when we’re walking outdoors – it’s a natural mood-booster! And the great news is we don’t need to walk far or fast to feel its effects on our health and wellbeing. Simply getting out is a tonic for our minds and bodies, and it can be sociable too.
Almost all of us can manage a stroll, and Ramblers Wellbeing Walks make it easier to start walking and stay active. And you’ll certainly never be short of good company.
